The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some have great navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

robot hoover  comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home and find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

best automatic vacuum cleaner  is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device is costly, but has many smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was in the process of working towards its goal.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't save multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
